They work in different areas and you have heard of them. Sorority women in general are educated college/ university graduates. Every national started as one chapter (local means less than 5) and even though it is many years later in expanding to two we are definitely still a strong organization on our campus because of the girls who relate to us, meet us and you'll see how down to earth we are. You will have close connections with many sisters in the other chapters and in doing so also expand your network. Stony Brook University is where the Alpha Chapter was founded and its Greek life is very prominent. The Beta sisters of Epsilon Sigma Phi have had a successful start and will continue to grow in their efforts to make this chapter a thriving representative of Epsilon Sigma Phi.Īs a Beta Chapter you will still be a part of an evolving sorority and your voice can contribute to where you want the organization to go. We now have a successful epsilon and alpha class we also adopted a child from Niger, Africa. Encompassing enough passion, commitment, dedication, determination, patience, and discipline, they came to learn what it means to be a sister of Epsilon Sigma Phi INC. Unfortunately, the majority of the interest group dropped and by Spring 2009 only two members were left. Throughout the semester many of the young women came to realize how much work and commitment would be necessary to start and ensure that growth of the sorority. In the months that followed, the interest group grew to eight young women. The interest group first began with Lorelie Paladin who was contacted by Deidre Flores, an alpha chapter sister, who introduced the idea of starting the Beta Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi INC. Epsilon Sigma Phi Sorority Incorporated Beta Chapter was first recognized by Hunter College in Fall 2008.
